The funds from these stickers are going to Jess Miller and her family. I virtually met Jess when she gave a talk a couple year ago at the Kernference (a typography conference). Jess and her family plus her parents have both lost their homes in the Altadena fires. She has also lost her backyard studio. As a fellow artist, I wanted to help in any way I could! That is why the sticker pricing is more expensive than usual.

From Jess: “Feeling next level trauma today. It’s crazy to see what once was my life just a few days ago has now been destroyed. Many people don’t know that I lost my home, backyard studio and my childhood home. My parents and my family are displaced. 75% of Altadena has been destroyed—38 years of memories, history, neighborhood and community decimated in a matter of hours. Altadena was a a hidden gem, a community filled with artists, poets, musicians and working class people (not the typical Hollywood wealth you think of) I’m still hurting and grieving pretty bad but grateful for the friends and family that continue to check in on us and support our family.”
